She's 23, and recently had a bad breakup and problems with her family coming from it. I've talked and comforted her but she's still seriously thinking about suicide. I can't follow her around all day so are there any simple methods i can use? Please don't give answers that involve involving someone else.

Thinking about it needs to be taken seriously, never take anything for granted when it comes to suicide. You need to look for sings, such as, giving away prized possessions, change in sleep habits, appearing not to care for ones self, and the most obvious, a mood change. The person will often become very happy and appear content with life. That is because he/she has made the decision to commit suicide, and she's happy with him or herself. Those are some signs, there are a total of seven, but that's all I remember at the moment. You also need to talk to her, see if you can get her to explain all of her problems too you. That works miracles, you can see the change almost instantly. And, if you can find out that if she's planned her suicide, then she's pretty far down the path. But it doesn't mean that she's going to do it.

Tough. Any good answer will require involving someone else. You clearly are not a psychiatrist or psychologist. You don't have the skills to help this woman.

Get here help. Now. Contact your local mental health center. Contact a suicide prevention hotline. Get her to a hospital. You see she needs help and yet you are not able to provide it.

Be a true friend and find someone who can.

Sorry to hear that.
Though I've to commend you for being so supportive.
As to your question I wish I know the answer; I lost my Dad a year ago & am helping my Mom get through her grief...
It's never easy, but being a good listener helps.
Don't pass judgment or try to be a counsellor.
Let her have her space. Let her know she's not alone.

I still feel just like the person you are talking about. In your case you should keep talking to her about what is bothering her when she looks depressed, even if she looks like this all the time. Maybe also get her to go to a specialist.

Do not talk about the past. Say to her God loves her, but tell her that devil wants to destroy her. So ask her not the listen to the voice of devil who is trying to make her commit suicide. Tell her that God is going to change her situation soon.

yes, just let her know that there is hope after every strom, and for her to know that god love her. The only person that she needs to turn to right now is the lord, there is no problem that is to big for him. Let her know that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whom so ever shall believe in him shall be saved.

there isn't much u can do urself. so go get help, b4 u regret it. if she dies and u knew that she was planning on killing herself then the blame is partially on you. sry for that, but it's true.
