Depending on what you state you reside in, you can either file an Order of Enforcement pro-se (meaning you can get a motion kit from the court and file without an attorney), or hire a lawyer.

In NJ, all child support is paid through the probation department.
If someone misses, the office of child support, probation will go after the party that is missing the payments. Please call the county where you reside and ask them if the payor's wages can be garnished and sent to probation. Probation then sends you a check or you can even get direct deposit and they deposit it weekly or whenver the payor gets paid into your checking or savings account.

If you go back to court, ask for a misprovison, usally a two week one. This means if the payor misses two consecutive payments or more, they put out a warrant for their arrest and make them pay.

Good luck.

Call the court house and tell them you haven't received any in three years and what you can do to make sure it comes to your child. It's a court order and the other parent is in violation of it.

They can attach the other parent's wages to make sure your child gets the money he/she deserves to live on.

You need to figure out why you haven't followed up on this for your child. If you think that the other parent will someday do it because its their child... that day has past and your child is entitled to the finances to help support them.

Best of luck..

A court order will be upheld in court. Take your ex to court and explain the situation, bringing with you the original document requiring the child support payments. You will get at LEAST the amount owed to you, perhaps more. Your ex will also receive legal rebuttal.

Go to the District Attourney they will garnish his wages and prevent him from collecting his income tax return if he gets anything back. They don't put men in jail for non-support any longer unless it is warranted. They will garnish his wages and take whatever back support is owed out of his income tax refund, and any other payments he has coming as long as it is taxable (if he won the lottery he wouldn't see any of it until his child support was paid off...this actually happened in California, a man who hadn't paid child support for 15 years won VERY big, it was reported to the taxman and he wound up getting less than $100.00 of the Millions he had won. )

Go back to Child Support Services and have them track down the father again. There are laws about these things & CSS and the District Attorney can help you get the money or can garnish his wages / tax returns to get you some assistance.

You do not need an attorney and it should not cost you anything.

Good luck -- Dead Beat Dads are the WORST!!

As with what the others said, go to the Friend of the Court, tell them you haven't received anything from him, they'll pull him into court, make him explain himself, and give him so many days to catch up on all of his arrearages. If they, he still doesn't pay, then they will garnish his wages to pay you directly. If he dodges them and refuses to pay, they'll put out a warrant for his arrest for being held in contempt of court.

Take his @$$ back to court and have him punished to the fullest extent of the law which should be jail time. I hate deadbeat dads.
