I recently changed from cable to SBC Yahoo DSL. However, when I had cable I had a wireless setup connection using a D-Link DI-524 Wireless G Router, but when I tried to set it up to the DSL modem I get no connection to my laptop (which can receive wireless connection without any cards) and my PC. When I unplug it from the G router and connect it back to my PC the internet works fine. The modem that I am using (the one provided by SBC Yahoo) is the Siemens Speedstream 4100 Ethernet ADSL Modem. How can I set-up a wireless connection? Please help me!!! Happy Holidays :)

The cable and DSL companies always tell you to do the following: Turn off (or unplug) all the devices and leave them unplugged for a couple minutes. Then, plug in / power on the modem and leave it be for a couple minutes. Then plug in / power on the router. After a couple minutes see if things begin to work.

Frankly, I'm not sure you would have to power off the modem. Try power cycling the router only first. If things dont work after that, you may need to reconfigure the router. Since you have a new modem and a new internet provider, you will have a different ip address and different DNS servers. Your router should be dynamically getting the new information from the modem.

Seems like if all you did was change the modem in the equation, the router should have picked up on the changes and ran with them. Get into your configuration interface and fish around a bit. See if there is a refresh or a renew button in the DNS section of the router config.
