I think you should change 'I just needed a friend' to 'I'm only inches from dead' Try a mini guitar/piano solo and then pick back up with this 'I need to calm myself'. Change ' Nobody can see the truth behind My happiness covered eyes' to ' No one can see the truth behind ....these cold and shattered eyes of mine' I love the lyrics and these are just my ideas. You are free to use them.

It's interesting how you put the words together without even describing exactly whats going on and it still all makes sense.
