it happened like 15 or so years ago and the couple went to prison i believe that one or two of thier children died..

Joel Steinberg and Hedda Nussbaum.
Joel Steinberg was convicted of killing his "adopted" daughter, Lisa Steinberg on November 2, 1987. Steinberg was a drug user who abused Lisa, Mitchell (the son) and his wife Hedda Nussbaum.
Nussbaum, in exchange for her testimony, was granted immunity for prosecution. Steinberg was convicted of first degree manslaughter and was sentenced to 8 1/3 to 25 years in prison...the maximum.
He was paroled in 2004 and now lives in Harlem

And, why is the Jewish part a necessity? That is as bad as saying a Muslim bomber. Do you ever hear of a Christian bomber? The religion is not used here. Why in other cases?
Oh-and I have never heard of this couple.

Weren't they both adopted...a girl and a boy...I think the girl died. They lived in an Apartment....He was a lawyer or maybe both of them were. It was crazy...really smart, well to do people...and to do that to their kids. Sorry...I'm drawing a blank. But if I heard it I think I would remember.
