I'm a student from Singapore and I'm thinking of studying high school in the states. Probably as Grade 9. Do you think that I should just stay here or try other places?... the good and bad, better or not...

How old are you? My thinking is that is too young to move so far away from your family.

You can see that the level of educational achievement of the students who answered you is rather depressing. These lads and lasses cannot spell, and will not use Spell Check. Why come to a country (the US) to receive a poor quality education?

Try private schools in Singapore, or try to get a place as an exchange student for a private education in England or Europe. (However, i am told that the level of education over there is rapidly sliding downhill too, sadly)

Any chance you have to visit other countries is wonderful and I hope that you take opportunities to be abroad. Very mind-expanding.

It is always good to broaden your horizons and learn about new cultures and see new places. it would be impressive to put on a college application as well. When i was in high school we had several different foreign exchange students and they were really well received by most everyone.
