2 Ways:

1-Use a very long ethernet(Cat-5)/USB cable, depending on the type of DSL modem you use, from the den to her room.

2-Buy a Wireless DSL modem/router and replace the old one, unless it is already wireless. Then buy a Wireless USB adaptor for your daughters PC (Thus wireless enabling it). There will be no need for cables if you do this.

You will need to start with a router (about $40-50). It is a box that connects to your DSL modem and has several ports for cables so that multiple computers can be attached to it. If your daughter's room is close enough, you simply run a cable from the router to her room.

If running a cable is not practical, then consider a wireless router (usually about $10 more then standard router). Same as a regular router except is also broadcast a wireless radio signal. Has a range of about 100-150 feet. You will need to add a wireless card to your daughter's computer than can receive the signal (about $40-50). Once added, go to the control panel and run the Wireless Network Wizard to connect her computer to the wireless signal.

if you dont want cords running through the house i would recommend getting a wireless router and a wireless card for her computer. if you go to best buy, radio shack, circuit city, any store like that they can help you pick out the correct equipment. i would recommend the linksys brand, it's simple to use and works very well. before you do this though you should check with your DSL provider to see if they can provide you with a wireless router for your house. if you need any more help or have any questions feel free to email me =)

You will need a router. If you're willing to run wires, just plug her computer into the router and your computer into the router then the router into the DSL modem(bridge). If you aren't willing to run wires, you'll have to get a wireless router. Her computer probably already can connect to a wireless router, but if not you'll have to get it a wireless access card.

At a undeniable time lock the computing device down with a code. That way she wont have the skill to get on till you launch the code the subsequent morning or whenever you sense needed. in case you have domicile windows XP. bypass to the administration panel, then to consumer bills and upload a password to it.this could do the trick for ya. good luck.

My adivce would to be to have a wireless device set up for your computer and hers. I do not use one myself but my friend has a laptop and she set up the transponder and it send a signal to her computer and it is connected somehow to her dsl line. She then is not connected to any line but is interenet enabled. Ask your local computer tech guys and they can set it up. It allows you to access the internet usually anywhere in your house with a computer. I have seen it advertised on TV.
