It's a wonderful sentiment, naming your child after both your parents, but I'm afraid I don't like Aury at all. It just doesn't look or sound pretty. Perhaps you could combine their names in other ways, or use variations like nicknames or foreign names. For that matter, why not just use Mary and Aubrey. I think Mary Aubrey would be a cute name.

From Aubrey I also like:
Bree
Brey
Audrey
Audra
Aubrianne/Aubrienne

From Mary, I like:
May
Molly
Marianne/Mariana
Marissa
Maida
Maren

Bree/Brey Marissa would be really cute, and would still honor both your parents.

I think it is really great that you want to honor your parents...I do think that Aury is kind of cute but it seems more like a nickname to me.

I believe that this is an Australian boys name but it seems more suitable for a girl.

How about something like Audrey Marie? or Avery Marie? or Mary Bree? or Maura Bree?

Lots of different variations of the name Mary so you are pretty lucky. Aury is kind of cute though....I would like a more feminine spelling to if it is for a girl...maybe Aureigh or Aurie...I am not sure...guess I am not much help!

Good luck! Happy Holidays! SD

I am not sure how you'd pronounce it, but it is really not a nice name. I'm sorry. I just wanted to be honest with you.

Aubrey is so nice and so is Mary. How about taking Rey from the end of Aubrey and using Raymond if it's a boy? And some form of Mary if it's a girl? There are so many deriviatives of Mary.

Or if it's a girl, you could go with Mary Rey? Or Mary Rae?

If it's a boy I'm not sure. Something that begins with an A, like Andrew, possibly?

I know a gal called Aurianne, but everyone calls her Aurie. So, I like the name.

Aury's all right, though it looks like a nickname. I'd definitely not use "RE," though, as that looks like the beginning of an email. "RE: Aury", for example!

Aury is a cute name but I think R.E. would be too confusing and misprononuced all the time.

Arrie perhaps?

Good luck :)

Its nice that you want to honnor the parents....... but the combo to Aury might get the girl teased.. try Breanna Marie or something..... But thats really nice... =)

It's a nice way to get a name but I don't particularly like the name.

at least it wont be confused during school years!
however RE can become a joke after awhile amongst kids so take notice of extremely short names!
