Meiosis states that there would be 4 sex gametes produced. I would presume that primary oocyte per division means when happens after cytokinesis of Meiosis I. You should get 2 eggs which will then be further divided into 4 with 3 polar bodies and 1 non-polar body. The polar bodies eeg would THEN disintegrate leaving you with 1.

So, primary oocyte: 2, final: 1.

You will only have one egg. What happens is the primary oocyte splits into two secondary oocytes. One of those oocytes will then become a second polar body.

The secondary oocyte that still remains will then develops and matures to become the ovum or the egg.
