I've read a whole bunch of people have been issued violation notices for bogus violation reports, dosen't anyone at yahoo check to see if they are for real or not??? They sure seem to be aimed at conservative posters. HMMMMM?????

By conservative posters I meant posters that did not seem to have said anything wrong in their postings, not the political conservative definition. Sorry for the mix up. I seems people are reporting posters answers just for the kick of reporting them. I guess some people just need a life.

WOW, i am amazed at the people that agree with this posting! Seems YA has some work to do. I've lost a bunch of points for being "reported" but I couldn't care less since I don't know what they are for anyway. I'm still going to say what I say, YA can just do what they need to do. Thanks for all the great post's everyone. Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I asked the same thing about getting a violation notice a while back for a legitimate question I asked and in no way should it have offended anyone. I asked Yahoo why did I get this violation and I am still waiting for an answer........that was about 3 months ago........tick tock tick tock..........still waiting. Its just like some of the other posters say...this program is fully automated and if someone wanted to really get nasty they could get you kicked off of here by simply reporting you over and over until you get enough violations to get your account deleted. They are called trolls and probably just a bunch of kids with nothing better to do. Still there are some that get mad because of your personal opinion and because you might not agree with them. If you find out more let me know please.

Hardly, I am middle of the road, and I always get reported. If I dis Bush, I get reported. If I dis Clinton, I get reported...
Just face it, literate people can read something offensive and post an answer that will slap people down. Idiots with three and four word vocabularies who have no capabilities in the area of argument, have to rely on the report button.

you're appropriate. as much as i think of President Bush is a no brained buffoon, i does no longer bypass so a great way as outright calling him names. that's one part of disagree with the different person, yet till they're trash speaking, i discover no reason to call the different person names. that's particularly disrespectful particularly if the subject rely demands a communicate/debate. If people choose poo slinging and contact calling, then that's no longer a communicate/debate. that's in basic terms trolling. in my opinion, I even have basically given up on the Politics section at YA. Republicans and fake information supporters makes me throw up slightly. it somewhat is particularly mind-blowing how the u . s . a . replaced into in step with such tremendous and present day ideals, yet immediately's usa is so backwards in maximum of places. usually circumstances, i'm embarrassed to be living appropriate next to the u . s . a . containing maximum of people who have such stale minded, ignorant and backwards thinking. it somewhat is frightening in case you step decrease back slightly and think of roughly this.

Been going on a long time... where have you been?.... Yahoo doesn't want to invest in the manpower to properly police Answers. And, in fact, Answers isn't even what Yahoo advertises it to be. This is more like a discussion forum, rather that a place to seek information in response to a query. That's the way it is and one has to deal with it a best as one can.

Sadly any of us are vulnerable to such abuses, Yahoo! has to work on improving the abuse reports and allow the "violator" to argue on how legit is that report.
