Finding out that Korea or the Middle East has nuclear weapons and ends up destroying Asia and the western parts of the United States.

Well, that can prove to the anti war crowd that the middle east has nuclear weapons, but it would probably lead to a civil war between the anti war people and the pro war people.

All the focus seems to be on nuclear weapons (Iran and North Korea).

However, chemical and biological weapons are sometimes referred to as "the poor man's bomb." I think what we will see is a serious attempt in 2007 to use either a chemical or biological weapon on either Israel or the USA.

If a chemical weapon, some sort of nerve agent or organophosphate insecticide based chemical. If a biological, I would guess the pneumonic form of plague.
