i am using the baby test from the dollar general. the line i am seeing is very thin...isnt a positive suppose to be the same size as the control line?

I would invest in a more reputable brand just in case. This isn't one of those things that's very good to go low budget on. Every test is different though..lines, colors, symbols, etc. I would go to your nearest planned parenthood and have them test you. It's usually free or maybe $5-$10 but worth it to hear the results from a pro. Don't stress yourself out about it until you can get a different brand of test or get to a clinic.

Not necessarily, for my son, it was much lighter and it took a pow-wow of my closest female friends in the bathroom before we all decided that it was positive. After about fifteen minutes we decided to tell all the guys that were nervously waiting down the hall that we had decided it was positive. There are a few things that can cause a false positive, including hormones from the pill or the patch which simulate pregnancy to prevent ovulation, or a cyst which should be checked by a doctor anyway.

lol the planned parenthood tests are the cheapest possible tests out there, so you may get the same result.

I would just wait and test again--I used a test from the everything 1.00 store and my 2nd line showed up immediately & very dark, my period was about 6 days late.

I agree though- a second line is a second line, no matter how thin or faint.

Any line along with the control line is a positive, doesnt matter how pink, or faint, or thing, or thick it is. A line's a line.

no when i tested the line was so light that you could bearly see it i would say that you are pregnant good luck and congrats
