Unfortunately, there are no completely insurmountable browser-related methods, but one or more of the following might help:

1. Use an operating system which has separate user/admin accounts - Mac OS X, Windows XP - so you can go in as an administrator, put protections in place, and force whoever your "users" are to use an account that's locked down.

2. Block physical access to your computer. If no one is supposed to use it except you, keep it in a locked room or password protect it.

3. Place the computer in a public area, like the living room, where there is no privacy and the screen can be seen by everyone in the room. This would at least make it inconvenient/embarrassing for porn sites to be viewed when others were present.

Best of luck. I once had my stepson "borrow" the computer I used for my home business to check out porn. He didn't have permission to use the computer at all, and I felt incredibly violated. I never really used that computer again after that experience.

You can do it through the privacy settings of your browser, but any enterprising young person can probably changes those settings

THE BEST way, is to get a router. A router with a built in firewall. Routers will allow you to put sites URL's and IP's that you dont want anyone to visit. YOu can protect them with a username and password.

You will have to use a 3rd Party Software like NetNanny or CyberPatrol to be as thorough as you can. Content Advisor in Internet Explorer can help too. Hope this helps...
