you have to hit the L2 or R2 button to switch Sims and you can only play as certain ones in each lot. and no, you CANNOT have kids in the PS2 version.

You just need to select the character you wish to control. Note, it can only be someone in your household.
Yes, you can have sims. Have two sims get married and be in love and have them relax on the bed together on a double bed. Then click on the non controlled sim and choose try for baby and if you hear a chime afterwards, it means your sim is pregnant.

you can, but Women cannot get pregnant which for me ruins the realism.
