Every since people have started going against what the gov't does we have been afraid to win a war by all out force. We dropped an atom bomb on two non military targets in Japan to show our power and make them surrender. We stompped the Brits by fighting like the Indians and not standing eye to eye to fight. Now we are afraid to get the job done for fear of what the world and even our own people will think. MAN UP AMERICA AND TO HELL WITH EVERYONE ELSE. We are the biggest the baddest and the toughest country on the planet. If we weren't than why would all the other countries come here to hold thier UN meetings? I don't see them doing it in Britian or France. No it's here!!!

Between the Civil War and the end of WWII, 1 million American soldiers died. Now it's about bailing after less than 3,000 with about 1,000 died from accidents that could have happened at home. I think the anti-war movement is brought on by lobbiests that want that money to be spent on theri own pet projects.

What the hell are you on about? Americans don't seem to be sissys at all! You dropped two nuclear bombs on civilians two major cities in japan and ecently invaded a country newly discovered in american parlace called 'iraq'. and you dragged us brits along for a ride for a bit of brain power.

tbh honest its us brits who have become sissys, never again will the UK be your lap dog. If anything britain should reacpture the original 13 US states/ colonies whatever and then ask which others would like to join the new united states. california might as they seem to be a bit more cooperative with future issues such as the problem of global warming.

Dropping atom bombs on civilians and non-military targets: is that a heroic act? Fighting your enemies from the trees and hidden under cover: is that bravery?

What are you really asking? You make the case that Americans have always been sissies. Or are you saying that Americans are really sissies because they can't hide under cover and they can't strike at unarmed targets.

Or is it that now that America's enemies are using the same tactics that the American military has used, you're upset? The "insurgents" seem to have learned the lesson America did in the Revolutionary War by not wearing uniforms, using deception and trickery to attack the occupying force and their supporters, and generally using whatever works to get the job done. And I seem to recall a certain non-military target (or two) that were attacked successfully a little over 5 years ago...

Once again: what are you really asking?

Are you by any chance a card carrying member of the vocal minority and what would the name of that member be ? just because Bush and his buddies can't be satisfied with the billions they already make why should people be tricked into a war that will not end until he controls the entire world when he invades Iran and solidifies his power there it will be to late because he will start rounding up Americans and placing them in " re-education camps " that are run by religious fanatics ! I estimate that he will begin the Iranian invasion no later than the beginning of February if he succeeds it will be to late to unseat this monster !

I'm not a sissy, but there does seem to be quite a few weak people out there who would rather roll over then to fight for what is worth fighting for, This United States.

Try me in a sword fight...
But as for the rest of America, it's not so much as what the world thinks as it is what our own people think. Some people just don't like war in this country, and they make this fact loud and clear so they can try and make the rest of us into cowards.

Remember, it was a colition of Countries that took on Iraq on both occasions.

Now, if we start "taking" over Countries and being Imperialistic, then there may be a colition of Countries that may decide they had enough and decide to take "us" on...

We are part of a "World Community", and we simply cant "take over" places because it makes us happy... Look at Russia... They are no longer the "power" they used to be..

Lets cooperate with the World, instead of going it alone.. We simply get more done that way.

I wish you well..

I am thinking that you have a point there and I'll have to agree that some Americans do act like a bunch of sissies.

Exactly. There is so much wrong with this country, I don't know where to start.

To me, at least, the word "American" is an insult. Reminds me of hot dogs and fat people.
