my friend thinks that im becoming a skank and that i am going to abandon her. ok... but i think thats dumb i dont see anything wrong with american eagle. do you agree?

I don't think American Eagle is skanky- your friend sounds insecure about something (maybe that she can't afford certain clothes) and is trying to take it out on you to make herself feel better. Wear what you like and don't stress out if she is trying to bring you down!

automatically when u buy clothes from American Eagle, Aeropostale, Hollister, and Abercrombie and places like that you get labeled a 'prep' but never a skank.. hmm.. thats dumb.. I agree with you.. nothing is wrong with American Eagle and just cuz you shop there doesnt give people the right to stereotype you a prep, or a snob, or a skank, or whatever else!

I have this really nice jacket that I bought from American Eagle last year and I really like it this year. Its not skanky. I agree with you on that. I feel like since now I'm back in school and not working so I can't afford the clothes that I used to love buying my best friend, who loves Abercrombie and Hollister, feels like I'm a cheapo now. Whatever, I don't care. You buy what you like to wear and that's what matters. Remember that.

Not sure what your real question is. Does your friend think AE not worth wearing- or does she think you will become snotty because they are more expensive clothes?
My son is 6th grade this year and has just started getting into AE- A&F and Hollister. I have told him he should never try to act like he is better then anyone or think he is so cool just because he wears a label. He understands not everyone can afford to do that and I make sure I ny limited stuff and a lot on clearance.

i dont know why your friend thinks you are skanky. AE is probably the least skanky place. unless you put together a skanky outfit with clothes that dont fit you right, then its not. If your friend thinks that way, she isnt a real friend. tell her i dont care what you think, im gonna shop where i like. well, a little nicer tghan that...but you get the picture. good luck!!
