i took a few pregnancy tests with all the same results. i see something very light (almost have to turn it into the light to see it at a certain angle) then i check them later, like maybe 2 hours and they have a more defined line...i thought it might be an evaporation line, but it is pink...what does this mean?

Hi Honey, here are some symptoms of pregnancy, check them and then see your doctor

Tender, swollen breasts
One of the early signs of pregnancy is sensitive, sore breasts caused by increasing levels of hormones. The soreness may feel like an exaggerated version of how your breasts feel before your period. Your discomfort should diminish significantly after the first trimester, as your body adjusts to the hormonal changes.

Fatigue
Feeling tired all of a sudden? No, make that exhausted. No one knows for sure what causes early pregnancy fatigue, but it's possible that rapidly increasing levels of the hormone progesterone are contributing to your sleepiness.

You should start to feel more energetic once you hit your second trimester, although fatigue usually returns late in pregnancy when you're carrying around a lot more weight and some of the common discomforts of pregnancy make it more difficult to get a good night's sleep

Nausea or vomiting
If you're like most women, morning sickness won't hit until about a month after conception. (A lucky few escape it altogether.) But some women do start to feel queasy a bit earlier. And not just in the morning, either — pregnancy-related nausea and vomiting can be a problem morning, noon, or night.

About half of women with nausea feel complete relief by the beginning of the second trimester. For most others it takes another month or so for the queasiness to ease up.

Increased sensitivity to odors
If you're newly pregnant, it's not uncommon to feel repelled by the smell of a bologna sandwich or cup of coffee and for certain aromas to trigger your gag reflex. Though no one knows for sure, this may be a side effect of rapidly increasing amounts of estrogen in your system. You may also find that certain foods you used to enjoy are suddenly completely repulsive to you.

Abdominal bloating
Hormonal changes in early pregnancy may leave you feeling bloated, similar to the feeling some women have just before their period arrives. That's why your clothes may feel snugger than usual at the waistline, even early on when your uterus is still quite small.

Frequent urination
Shortly after you become pregnant, you may find yourself hurrying to the bathroom all the time. Why? Mostly because during pregnancy the amount of blood and other fluids in your body increases, which leads to extra fluid being processed by your kidneys and ending up in your bladder.

This symptom may start as early as six weeks into your first trimester and continue or worsen as your pregnancy progresses and your growing baby exerts more pressure on your bladder.

A missed period
If you're usually pretty regular and your period doesn't arrive on time, you'll probably take a pregnancy test long before you notice any of the above symptoms. But if you're not regular or you're not keeping track of your cycle, nausea and breast tenderness and extra trips to the bathroom may signal pregnancy before you realize you didn't get your period.

Your basal body temperature stays high
If you've been charting your basal body temperature and you see that your temperature has stayed elevated for 18 days in a row, you're probably pregnant

Good luck.

Pregnancy tests show invalid results after about 10 minutes, so no matter how light or dark it is after that long, it's not giving you an accurate reading. Read the instructions that come with the test, they are all different. What do the instructions say your results say right away, when the results first come up? That's what the true result is. Maybe you need to spring for Clearblue Easy- they are digital and say "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant". There's a 2 pack at Wal-Mart for $9. Hope this helps.

Any line is a positive line. I took them very early and had a faint line and took one very late and had a dark line (different kids). I still have the tests and the lines have not faded (9 and 3 years old). Take another test first thing in the morning, maybe wait a couple of days. If you really need to know now, a blood test is the best.

www.peeonastick.com has really great, detailed info. You might not have enough hGC in your urine yet (especially if you're not doing this first thing in the AM) OR you could be seeing the outline of the "positive" line which often happens when it gets damp...and usually gets darker as it dries. Pregnancy test are usually void after about 2 hours. You can always try one of the new tests that's digital and actually says the words pregnant or not pregnant... Best of luck, but a blood test (from your doc) would be your best positive or negative result. Definitely try the website and good luck with whatever the result is!

The same thing happened to me a few years ago and I got my hopes up. I do not want to discourage you, but since the line went away, there is a chance you might not be pregnant. Im not saying there isnt a chance that you are, but i just dont want you to get your hopes up because of what other people are saying, just incase, because i know how hard it is to get your hopes up and have them come crashing down. What i would do is get a multi- pack of at least 2 tests (i reccommend EPT), and take it in the morning with your first urine of the day. It has the most hormone in it, and will give you a more clear answer. If it is negative or there is a faint line, re-test in a few days. If you are that late, i would be seeing a dr to make sure there are no other serious things going on. good luck to you! I hope everything goes the way you want it to!

My pregnancy test with my son was only very light. It could be either inconclusive or positive. They can't be trusted after two hours, this is listed on the package. I'd say it's time to take a trip down to the doc or to the local family planning clinic, just to be sure. Taking HRT (hormone replacement therapy) or being on the pill can sometimes cause a false positive, so can a cyst, among other things. If it's not a true false positive, a nurse practitioner or a doc can tell you for sure.

Good luck, and be well!

As long as you are looking at the test within the time limit on the package, the outcome is accurate.Even if you do have a very light line that u can see from any angle-your pregnant! It will get darker as your pregnancy progresses.Do not read the test after the time limit because the results can be very misleading and innaccurate.

I know that with most tests if you wait longer than 10 minutes the test is compromised and will show a positive result either way. If you see a line early on, no matter how faint, it's a good indication that you're pregnant.

They state that any line from extremely dark or extremely light, means a positive test. I would take the test with a first morning urine (more concentrated).

Also, you may want to try the digital read out tests - they state either "not preg" or "preg" - there is no line to decipher!

Good luck!
