The IAT (Intake Air Temp. sensor) is in the intake tunnel between the air cleaner and the intake manifold. The CTS (coolant temp. sensor) should be close to the on top of the motor close to the thermostat housing or under the side of the motor away from the exhaust manifold. It will look like a brass plug with a wire plugged into the center of it. Good Luck

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but see if you can return that so-called chip to the guy you bought it from.

That sounds like it isn't a genuine mod-chip at all, but a resistor sold by scammers (and some merely clueless) folks labeled as a chip. They're supposed to fool the computer into changing a few of its settings, but it's almost unheard of for people who sell these to do any testing to see if they've made the proper amount of adjustment. These may just as easily over-adjust things so that the engine gets worse mileage and power.

A REAL chip does not splice into a temperature sending line. Instead, the directions for installing a genuine chip will be to open the car's computer, pop out the old memory chip, and drop in the new one.

I HAVE HAD TWO CHEROKEE'S AND BELIEVE ME THE BEST PLACE TO LOOK IS TO GO TO A JUNK YARD AND FIND THE CHEROKEE THAT HAS BEEN THERE THE LEAST AMOUNT OF TIME. OF COURSE, I WOULD TRY THE AUTOPART STORE FIRST
