Go to savedarfur.org and donate, generate media coverage , petition your senators for help. The more people who are made aware of the genocide in the Sudan , the more people will be compelled to help! Good Luck!

There are lots of things you can do to help. People do care but it is a huge thing to tackle as a whole. Start small and sponsor a child or there are gifts that you can buy from the world vision registry like donating a pig or cow or some crops to a family that needs it. I think the latter is great and you can give it as a gift to someone and it is given to the families in their name. Everybody should do what they can but lets not forget that there are always similar issues, much closer to home,. Volunteering at a shelter or doing 'meals on wheels' is a great way to start and it also gives you a great sense of goodwill.

They are dying from their own actions. All the "caring" in the world can't remedy that.

Unless you can get rid of the dictators,It's going to be hard or impossible to help.
Sending them money hurts them because the dictators get it and buy guns.That way they can keep them under there thumb.
