Eric Clapton-Tears in Heaven written for his son who passed away...

Wow, some people have put in great answers. Bridge Over Troubled Water and Tears In Heaven to name a couple.

I would have to say Gillian by The Waifs, simply because i think it is the most beautiful expression of love for a mother that i have ever heard. If i was a mother and had this song written about me i would burst out crying. It is hard to put into words, but if you ever get the chance to hear the song, don't miss it.

And another if no one has said it, Maybe I'm Amazed by Paul McCartney. Beautiful expression of love.

Nothing compares to you - Sinead OConnor. Have you ever seen anyone so in touch with the emotions of a song? It's like the song was written for an event and the event happened while the video was being recorded! Fantastic.

The song i find most touching at the moment is This Woman's Work by kate bush don't have a particular reason wht just that the lyrics seem like they are coming from the heart.

Artist: Kate Bush
Album: The Sensual World

Pray god you can cope
I stand outside this woman's work
This woman's world
Ooh, it's hard on the man
Now his part is over
Now starts the craft of the father

I know you have a little life in you yet
I know you have a lot of strength left
I know you have a little life in you yet
I know you have a lot of strength left

I should be crying, but I just can't let it show
I should be hoping, but I can't stop thinking

Of all the things I should've said
That I never said
All the things we should've done
Though we never did
All the things I should've given
But I didn't

Oh, darling, make it go
Make it go away

Give me these moments back
Give them back to me
Give me that little kiss
Give me your hand

(I know you have a little life in you yet
I know you have a lot of strength left
I know you have a little life in you yet
I know you have a lot of strength left.)

I should be crying, but I just can't let it show
I should be hoping, but I can't stop thinking

Of all the things we should've said
That we never said
All the things we should've done
Though we never did
All the things that you needed from me
All the things that you wanted for me
All the things that I should've given
But I didn't

Oh, darling, make it go away
Just make it go away now

Cancer by My Chemical Romance. It's just so sad and soulful...you really FEEL the song. Also the french song L'Aigle Noir by Barbra, it's beautiful. Oh and also that song the Gollum Song by that woman...Emilia something i think, at the end of The Two Towers it's just so ebautiufl and SAD....
