From someone who has worked in one of these stores, one it's to help out the security systems. Since most companies can't afford infared cameras, it's easy to check out the area with a little light. It could also make it safe for the employees who work late at night to leave the store. It's less likely to get robbed if you think someone else is there. I don't know too many people that would rob a store where all the lights are on too.

specific do. My husband is going loopy with timers. He has lights furnishings occurring and rancid during the abode at diverse situations on the same time as we are long gone. We even go away a radio on. homes are robbed in our section generally in the event that they appear as if no one's abode. And! we've replaced all bulbs with the recent capability saving ones.

I guess they think that if they leave their lights on you will see what they sell and remember what they sell. For example, lets say it was a shoe store. You just grew out of your old sneakers. Then you remember the store and you buy shoes from there.
