Racist bigots. Their true fans are low in number; a lot of their supporters feel forced to support them, as a protest vote, or because they feel threatened, often due to incorrect assumptions (segregated communities allow rumours to spread that immigrant populations get a better deal, etc).
FYI, they're about as big in the UK as the KKK were just before they became a complete joke (say, when they were 90% joke).

Depends on your point of view. If you are a left-liberal then they are "racist bigots".
If you are a Nationalist who feel this country is being screwed over by foreigners who don't even like living here and wish us nothing but harm they are "patriotic nationalists".
Personally I don't see why the BNP should be "Racist Bigots" and yet an organisation like the Black Panthers or Nation of Islam is considered OK. The BNP are all for whites and the Black Panthers etc are all for Blacks. Same old really.

They're a bunch racist thugs in suits, people usually vote BNP not becuase they necceserilly agree with the BNP mandate but against other parties because they seem do be doing nothing on things such as Immigration, yeah and it's just on that point. With the expansion of the EU I think it's certainly bound to get worse.
If you look on their website and look at thier pledges, it's just armchair politics. They have no idea of how to deal with real politcal situations. They only have one agenda "To get immigrants out of this country".
However they want to withdraw thier membership from the EU, (The average person doesn't know jack about the EU and what a big mistake it would be). With the likes of Asia and North America trying to emulate the EU without success, do you think they are trying to do it for a reason. Collectivley the EU has more bargaining power however it's turning more into a politcal union rather than an Economic one which politicians should fight for. (Oh I've strayed off the subject)

They (BNP) seem to have got it into their heads that foreigners are the root of all the social problems in Britain. That could not be further from reality! I have a friend who runs a tree logging company in rural Scotland and he hired some Poles to cut up and tie the timber. They managed to complete a 5 hour task in 2 hours and all the excess wood was neatly piled up in a pickup. There are too many in Britain that are happy to sit on the dole and let the rest of society pay for them to sit on their back sides, so I foreigners want to come into Britain and do the jobs some are too lazy to do then I'm all for foreigners working here! The BNP seem to like to forget that! Its not foreigners workers that are the problem its the doles takers. Britain should take a leaf out of France's book - there you get a council home and benefits for a year and within that year you are to find employment, if you don't you are kicked out your house and lose the benefits. We need to stop the lazy BRITS (because it is the Brits in Britain that are on the dole, the foreigner workers are not) stealing the working, tax paying public! Hence why voting BNP solves nothing and they are just Nazi's in disguise.
IF IN SCOTLAND VOTE SNP NOT BNP!!

BNP, are disaffected working class voters who are manipuated by some quite clever political fascists. It is a lot like Germany in the 1930's people in search of a lost empire.
Pandering to fear and ignorance and making a scapegoat out of any minority group, jews, black people, asylum seekers, gypsies, it is just laughable that any of these groups have stolen our houses, steal our jobs, our children or will take over our lovely country. Ethnic minorities are about 6% of the population, not exactly a large number is it?
Last year for the first time, our population was inceased ( slightly) but now there is a panic and hatred for Polish immigrants, next year Romanina or Bulgarians, it will be fuelled by the well known papers and pundits, but we cannot carry on thinking like the caricatures of "Little Britain"

As a member of the British public I want to express my view that the B.N.P. are far more than Racist bigots and have far more extream views than even the KKK. They are the butt off the UK democratic system. They want to remove all the multiculturalism that Britain has come to represent. They are anything but patriotic.

Racist bigots. It only takes a quick look on their website to confirm it. Personally, I blame the people who vote for them, they're the worst scum. The BNP once had a black member and he was hounded out by complaints from party supporters.
People who vote BNP should be shot in the face.

I would like to say both really and I will explain why I think so. Back in the 1980s the BNP were a really nasty bunch of people with skinheads and swastika waving galore, however nowadays this image has gone, now many people will say, " don't be fooled by this change they are still the same people underneath the suits, " and perhaps they are right but I have researched their manifesto to try and answer this quesion myself. In the last election an experiment was carried out where people around the UK were asked if they liked the policies on their manifesto but they were not told who's manifesto it was, nearly all people said the policies sounded good but soon changed their mind when they realised who it belonged to, I think that this shows how the media has portrayed the BNP and I think it is fair to say that most people do not know much about the party or its policies. However, I do think that their current leader Nick Griffin is a horrible man, a skinhead in disguise (the disguise being his hair, his suit and his oxbridge education). I also think that the BNP inevitably will gain more and more power gradually because people will eventually see that Labour is not working and perhaps when white people are discriminated against for fear of upsetting minorities then people will get p i s s e d off and look for change. I would not vote for them when I turn 18 unless I really had to in order to stop positive discrimination. Alex

I think they are a bit of both. I do believe that they are patriotic and love their country. They want`England for the English`, and want back the old ideals of what England was. Unfortunately to do this it means getting rid of anyone who dosen`t fit the criteria that goes with quiet country lanes and white English ladies and gentlemen drinking afternoon tea.It is partly the old problem of ,if you allow something to stay a certain way for long enough, it becomes impossible to change it back. We have thousands of mixed race people who are just as English as anyone else; this is their country and here they will stay along with every other English person. The BNP think differently, but they are very wrong and they have wrongly anticipated the mood of the country.

Old fashioned Nazis and racists hiding behind the facade of being "patriotic nationalists" and "real Britons" when they really are white, racist bigots with fantasies of being Schutzstaffel complete with jackboots.
