getting a perfect score for an artwork....

our project was to draw something in the school playground... to put in lots of detail and to really think it through...

being totally hopeless at drawing anything of any significance I drew the root system of the lawn on the sport field and included some worms and bugs..... it was a very detailed picture.. wish I still had it... I titled it ... "High school: beneath the surface".

In later years I realised the significance and the abusrdity of the title and the picture.... worms and bugs wriggling around in mass of roots....

The most thing I remember about my high school experience would be the friends and the stories I made along the way. Whether it was throwing keg party's or getting caught having sex in a empty class room it was all fun. My attitude back then was we are young so f*ck it. I would party first and looked at school as social hang out. Although I did alright it school, I was the type of student who was always told I had potential, just never applied it. I am now 23 and just got out of the military been around the world and still feel that high school were the better days. Did my fair share of "experimenting" with drugs, fell in love, and lost a good friend all in school. Today I am a very mature individual and if I had to go back and do it all over again I WOULD DO IT ALL THE SAME except ( I wouldn't get caught having sex in a class room hahahahhhha

In high school I remember Bible Club most clearly. We brought tea and muffins twice a week to Mrs. Yearling's class and discussed His word. The highlight was meeting my Abigail there. Once I met her it became difficult to put God first. She sure made feel lucky to be Born Again. And she still does.

But there were other less eventful memories like homecoming, float building, raffle fundraisers, football games, meeting at McDonald's after football games... bonfires in the country, filling up empty beer bottles with gasoline and then putting the cap on and then putting it into the bon fire. We made our own fireworks. We also took out Dad's ford and went muddin' after the storms. We had good times. But the bible studies were the best. And they still are.
