After his birth we hear about him next in the Temples. What was he doing between the ages of 0-32. There's much Bible information about him but mostly about his birth and near his death. What was he doing which was not recorded in the Bible. There are other historical accounts of those times which are not widely known. Jokes and scepticism are fine but I know the Bible so no Bible stories. Thanks

Thanks Jesse. It's that studying I'm interested in. He developed but the knowledge he gained must have been deep and esoteric (perhaps) I know from other texts that he spoke about an inner sanctum and was wondering about meditative studies that some say may be Asian in origin

It's possible Jesus existed, in fact I think it is very likely but the truth about the miracles...
There is nothing mysterious about a person with powerful and positive views and people exalting that person beyond human status.

You know more than some, Aethists Rule. Some argue Jesus was John's disciple. John baptised Jesus after all!

I know what you're saying (man with no name) and you have thought about this much. I think you have a world view but maybe a little angry. The 40 days & nights were said to be the learning of esoteric knowledge. You allude to it and it's application and I wonder if you know this. It is personal and no rituals are required. The notion of an inner 'Heaven' which is also all around you is facinating. Some interpret the Gnostic teachings so. Yes the Council of Nicea have a lot to answer for, surpressing information and knowledge then claiming divine intervention in the selection of Biblical texts when it was them all along. There is and was much more texts which could have been included in the Bible by them which would have meant this world would have been a more enlightened place with people more able to be introspective and illuminated

A lot of mixed views about Bin Laden, Dick. How come he's in this? Are you saying he is a reincarnation of Jesus? Gosh!

I think you are simplifying things too much, Ari. I know of the Bible teachings so theories / information other than those are what is interesting. It does not detract from the Bible if other sources have information about Jesus, it just enriches what is already said.
He was born an ordinary Jew, learning from Rabbis until he became one himself but his teachings clearly differed from his predecessors. It is the learning he went through which is of interest, the information which may or may not have been surpressed

I heard about the Essene as well, Illyanna and the 3 wise men (Magi) were said to practice the occult but why do you think this is a conspiracy?
It is not sacriligous to believe information about Jesus can be contained outside of the Bible. The Council of Nicaea who put the Bible together had many accounts of Jesus but chose the ones we see in the Bible and left out the others.
They believed in the power of number and chose 4 for the gospels to represent their beliefs in the power of that number.

Some texts talk about Jesus and Mary as an intimate couple and I agree 5kidsmon that being a family man does not detract from Jesus at all. He was human after all.
The thing is that we don't really want some wacky 21st century nutter coming and claiming they are a descendant of Jesus because we know it will just end up being a commercial exercise even if it was possible to prove it's validity
I don't call myself a Christian but I believe Jesus existed and I believe in his message but not the other-worldly stuff attched to him. He was a great man wanting to make a positive difference but he was just a man, not super human. The laws of nature and physics are constant

Good point Eyvind. Why should he not have travelled. Remember similar incredible engineering feats existed simultaneously in Egypt and South America during antiquity so knowledge sharing obviously occured then as it does now

There are a number of accounts written in a vague manner that describe a young man studying under numberous ways.
I have heard conspiracies of the Magi and the Essene were particuarly interested in this virgin birth. It is possible he was on a sight seeing tour visiting different schools of thought.
But as I am not a traditional practicioner of orthodox religion, I happen to feel he was a person who was glorified to meet the needs of a growing number of social upheaval.

The bible tells about his birth and a bit of childhood like when the wise men and shepherds came to see him, there's this scene also where he remained behind in church after service, that is one scene where he reacted rudely to his mother. he must have been 5yrs or older by then. Then there's the scene when John baptized him by immersion at the river. You had to be a good diver to undergo such ritual. He must have been over 10. There is this scene where he started recruiting his apostles. Remember it was moved across the land/region. That task might have taken him a couple months if not years. He must have done that when he was in hi 20s. Then follow (the ministry) several years of preaching across the land, Capernaum, Galilee etc etc. That takes us to about 30yrs old. Then the trials, and tribulations for close to 2 yrs. You meet Jesus at 32. By the way, there is no 0-age.
If you piece together the various scenes in the bible, you find that there is no missing link.
- Happy new year.

Perhaps you know where the discrepancy lies, but I had someone point out where there are inconsistencies that show that there were actually two Jesuses. The one Jesus finally incarnated into the other one. So, we may have to wonder what two people were doing in this time period.

don't be fooled. there is no place interior the Bible the place it ever mentions Mary giving beginning to any toddlers besides Jesus. show me everywhere interior the bible the place it mentions it. additionally why if James replaced into Jesus brother via way of Mary why did he deliver Mary to stay with John? Why could he additionally be stricken approximately the place Mary lived if he had maximum of brothers? What you spot here is Protestant hatred of Mary. The oldest church homes interior the international all nicely known Mary as a perpetual virgin. study the bible, learn Church historic past and pray to God for education.

JC disappears 12-29. 'Bible as history' often heresy to orthodox. Legends of W Europe and British Isles contacts: 'And did those feet... walk upon England's pastures green' (Blake's 'Jerusalem'). Travels with merchant uncle Joseph of Arimathea? Glastonbury Thorn. Rabbi's travel trade routes within ancient collegiate. Gnostic Gospel Thomas re. Asian contacts. Political purpose suppresses historical detail eg Pliny's histories 'lost'.

Actually, the Bible only focuses on HIS ministries... Because that is when HE started with the miracles and bringing on the New Testament Word.
What HE did before then, was growing up, and studying, and probably working for his earthly father (Joseph), as a carpenter..learning the trade.
I wish you well..

Nothing as he did not exist, the stories in the novel are just that stories, there is no proof that such a person ever existed outside of this novel.
