hi, i'm trying to pierce my ears myself, i've gotten it pierced twice but the first time it closed up and i want another one now. my parents are doctors so if something goes wrong i'll fess up. i know this sounds stupid but my parents will not take me to get another piercing they think it's informal. Now, also, my parents have professional sterilized needles from when they were going to pierce my ears but didn't. so should i use those? i'm a bit scared, i want to use my old piercing studs instead of the needles. please don't say just go to claire's and have em poke it for 20 bucks because i don't have permission!!!

1.) First numb the ear with a cube of ice, you'll know when it's numb when you pinch it and it only feels like pressure.

2.) Mark the spot you want to pierce with an ink pen.

3.) ** Align the needle properly ** on the marked spot and push it through "quicker is better." The thicker the needle the better too.

4.) Insert the stud earing until healing occurs.

Note: Make sure all things in this process are clean, especially the ear.

Another Note: It's much better if you get someone else to do it. Even better if you can have a permission to have a professional to do it.

OO YES! be like me and do it (everyone told me not to but it was fun)
Sterrile needles sound good (I used a sewing needle) but still use lots of rubbing alcohol to clean them before you pierce. Do not heat it over a candle, some people tell you to do this, but sometimes the candles have additives that will turn the needle black, which is bad. Mark the spot on your ears you want peirced but with a totally safe non toxic marker, i wouldn't even use a marker, i left a clip on earing where i wanted it and when i took it off there was an indentation in my ear.
Have a friend actually stich it through, and advice for the friend, sometimes it's hard to get it through, just keep pushing and twisting, don't worry about hurting the person, cause it really doesn't hurt.

Ice helps to numb the ear, but you don't REALLY need it, and make sure you wash your ear (both sides) and the earring with rubbing alcohol before piercing

Good luck!

If your parents are doctors then fess up now NOT LATER and have them do it for you. Ever heard the warning label :DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME. Take that to heart. You are not experienced in piercing ears and anything can go wrong. Take to heart if you do a home piercing and it gets infected because of a bad job done then you could lose part of your ear when they cut it off. THEN you are in more trouble than when you started. Rather talk about it now than fess up in a serious troubling mess.

I am also confused in how your parents think its informal to have your ear's repierced. Rather do you mean they do not want to do it because they have grown closed to many times.

hey
4 starters i wud suggest u do it urself b4 goin 2 claires bt hey thats jst my opinion :P

if u gt a low pain tolerance then ice them first
then use ur parents needles they r much nicer 2 b pushin thru ur ears wiv - they were made 4 the job so theyll b best
put the tip where u want the hole 2 b + put summat behind ur lobe to push against (think apples in the parent trap:P) i used a cork that came wiv the needles i bort bt its up 2 u wot u use/dont use
once the needle is thru push the stud thru the hole + leave it alone! - u can clean the blood off wiv wet cotton buds/-tips but then-HANDS OFF
dont start 2 clean for at least 24 hours or u'll end up irritating it

hope it goes well x x

I did mine myself with an earing, even even though it hasn't were given contaminated i does not recommend it once you need to although sparkling it beforehand and after and proceed to sparkling it, you'd be superb off going to a specialist, ear piercings at the on the spot are not that prime priced and may be hardship loose if performed wisely, desire this facilitates

my sister did her ears and her nose with ice and a sterilized needle. see if ur 'rents have some iodine around too, that stuff will make sure there is no germs already on ur lobes. if your not brave enought for that, try and go to a beauty supply store, they sell the do it yourself guns for like $25- $30. they come with the sterilized earrings u just load and shoot. quick and painless.

Put Ice over your earlobe for like ten minutes or until somewhat numb and then take a sanitary safety pin, breathe in really deep and just push the safety pin through as fast as you can. Its gonna hurt like a bi tc h but I have done it before, and it just takes a lot of breathing. You have to take really good care of it tho and put alchol on it a lot so it doesn't get infected

Stick with what you have, a lot of jobs don't allow more than two visible peircings anyway. Get too far up and you risk damaging the cartilage which could make your ear collapse. It is really best to have a professional do it.

alrite im 14 and this is wat i did. i ahve had my ears pierced about 3 times and they kept closing up so i just agve up and they had been closed up for like 5 years. then oneday i noticed a hole still there. i got an earing and just stuck it in, like u twist and turn it slowly. it will soon go all the way though. they were a little red at first but it soon went away. and they are still pierced now and havent closed up! =]

well, ur prolly gonna get ur *** kicked for doing it, BUT if you're willing to take the risk....
I pierced mine myself...8 in one ear..in one day..( i was bored and have a very high tolerance for pain)

I used the piercing studs i had from a while back...just soaked them in alcohol for a few min to kinda kill some of the germs..and just pushed them thru my ears...however, if you aren't willin to deal with the pain...you can use some ice to numb ur ears...just grit ur teeth and push it thru...
goodluck
