Well if you don't have hundreds of dollars to spend on a word processor, you could download a bittorrent client (search for "azureus" ) then head over to torrentspy.com and search for microsoft word, download the torrent file, open the torrent file with azureus, and word will download for free.
Once you download word from torrentspy, you'll have an ISO file. you'll need to burn that to a disk using a program like nero burning rom, which can also be downloaded from torrentspy. The serial number to the program should be in a NFO file you download with the program. Right click the NFO and select open with > notepad to read it
If you don't want to burn a disk, download daemon tools (free search google) and open the iso with daemon.
However, this process is illegal in most countries with copyrighr law. You'll have to take a flight to bogota with your computer if you want to do this legally!

You can download a program called OpenOffice. It opens files created from MS Office. You can save your files in the same format. It is a free Open Source Software for your enjoyment.
Get it Here:

Hi,
You will have to buy it as a separate software or a package. Shop around and you should be able to come up with good alternatives (in terms of prices)

You must buy it legally or use a free alternative.
www.openoffice.org is a great free alternative that can open and save the popular Office formats .doc, .xls, .ppt, etc.

Usually the Vendor who sell the PC should install them for you by default or pre-installed from the company that you purchased forinstance from gateway or Dell. You might want to check with them or demand one to be installed, if you dont want to waste your $$$ to buy one which you going to install only once.
