What can be done to convince people that the war in Iraq was the right thing to do?

Could someone figure out a way to transport all of our troops home and then bring the terrorist over here, so we can get out of Iraq and fight the terrorist over here?

Nothing will ever convince me this war was right. How thick headed and blind can you be to support it? Fight them there so we dont fight them here? Are you in the third grade? THat makes no sense.
Get this straight, there were NO TERRORISTS IN IRAQ before we invaded. Save the bull that Saddam supported Saddam payed, I am not listening to that garbage anymore.
There will NEVER be democracy in Iraq. Ok? DO you get that? Will you ever get that? They dont want democracy, you cant force it on someone. This country was founded by people who wanted it not people who had it forced on them.

It seems like most people do not agree with you and do not think the war in Iraq was the thing to do.

If it had been finished the first time as it should have been this mess would have been much easier to take care of.

It was the UN that stopped the war the first time and Set the rules but then kept backing down and creating a monster that it would not face and accuse others of its own terrible mistakes.

No matter what I say or any one says there are so many that just hate and will not even bother to try to understand.

I do agree that something had to be done and I also agree that it was not done properly. I just don't know how a war can be started properly.

The thing that is causing most of the problem is the fact that no matter what happens it can be seen on the TV or computer within a very short time. It is the bad that people remember and want to se. There is a lot of good but that is not what people want. What are the movies and video games that are most popular. That alone should tell people something.

Try proving the validity of the war, and showing that it is not causing any debt.

There were no WMD.

Saddam gassed the Kurds in the 80s, why didn't we invade then...oh yeah, Bush SR was paying for the gassing of the Kurds.

Osama and Saddam HATE each other, and there were no Al Quaida there until we moved in and caught Saddam.

The two reason we are there:

1) The Bush family has a personal grudge with Saddam from the first Gulf War.

2) Saddam had over 40 BILLION dollars of US money that Bush SR had given to him in the 80s. He announced that he was going to trade all our greenbacks for Eurodollars which would have devalued the US dollar 40% in an instant.

I say, pull all of our troops to the border and not let anyone in or out, except food supplies. Let them fight their stupid civil war without taking any of our men down.

And before you argue with me about any of this, cuz I know you will, keep in mind that even BUSH came out and admitted that there were no WMDs or terrorists in Iraq.

First off you don't want to fight them here. Imagine a car bomb going off in downtown LA or a suicide bomber in Chicago. Not a good thought. If that were to happen there would be total mayhem on the streets with every citizen arming themselves and profiling everyone and being the melting pot that we are there would be a lot of innocent people getting killed.
The Iraq war was sold to us on a bill of lies that in my opinion should have earned Bush an impeachment but obviously you can't get head in the oval office but you can lie and send over 3000 soldiers to die in a desert.
Now can we just pull out? HELL NO! That is the worst thing we can do. We need to send more troops and just kill everything that we feel will do us harm. Once we've taken out half of the male population in that country and disarmed everyone but the Iraqi military than we go home!
FYI... I AM A VET OF IRAQ CAME HOME WITH TWO BULLETS IN BACK.

There are many confusing postions in our world today. With all its lateral and constant moving positons, we as a people need to come in terms with shifts in focus and change in views. A nation can become powerless/seized or corrupted by another governemtn or party. Having a neutral position in all reservations can give opportunity for balance in the areas of the world that become unstable. The US being a party can do so without creating an imbalanced environment. In this particular situation with Iraq, it seems to be a struggle to do so without harming our fragile global stability in the process.

We should get out of Iraq, we have no business there, our men and women are dying, for a war that was brought by false pretenses.

Sadly, there is no easy answer to a HUGE heck of a mistake made by the current administration and we are going to continue our sacrifice as a country and people for years to come. When will we learn peace will NEVER be found at the end of a gun?

The war in Iraq HASN'T BEEN the right thing to do; so far as we know, Osama is still out there. Saddam had NOTHING to do with him, and our involvement in Iraq has been solely predicated on Bush's Daddy issues. We need to get out of there, and find Bin Laden, and bring home his head on a spike.
