Hilton Garden Inns are great. They are not quite as high a caliber as a full Hilton, but much better than something like a Days Inn. I book a lot of business travelers in Hilton Garden Inns. If there is a particular one you are interested in you can go to Hilton's web page, www.hilton.com and look it up.

We stayed there when my friend had her bachelorette party, we stayed at the one downtown w/ the weber grill restaurant attached to it. It was a nice standard hotel, I remember the people at the front desk were very nice and helpful and even gave us passes for clubs and bars because they knew we were there to go out

It completely depends on the town you are in. There a few in what many out of towners consider Chicago.
