This is not colic, as someone else mentioned. Colic is a way to describe a baby that always seems to be fussy no matter what you do. It is possible that you are simply not burping your child enough. It can be difficult sometimes to know if they're getting it all out. But if I were you I would mention the possibilty of Relfux to your doctor. My son is eight months old, and he's had Reflux since he was about a week old. It's pretty common, and there are a lot of ways to help calm it down some. You should look this up(Reflux, GER, GERD). A lot of infants have this. It is a problem with the stomach, and it doesn't go away until the child gets older and the body matures more. It usually ends by a year or age, but some cases can need surgery to be righted. If you ever want to know more about this I would be happy to answer any questions you have.

It is colic-----just like when your burping after eating---the baby needs to burp too. What kind of doctor didn't tell you how to hold a baby after a bottle---put it over your shoulder and lightly tap its back to expel the air bubble of a burp. Feed a little and do the burp, then a little more food and do the burp...your baby is full and cannot tell you she has had enough, thank you. Sorry to say it---but having a baby is more than 5 minutes of sex---it is a lifetime of care and you should find a experienced doctor or nurse to explain all this to you and the father---

Don't worry about overfeeding - you definitely should feed her as much as she needs. What you can do, though, is to interrupt feeding and burp her more often - that will make it easier for her to release gas. Check what you eat that cause her being gassy. You might also want to dive her some anti-gas medication - you can get some for babies over the counter.

With formula fed babies, it is pretty hard to gauge whether you are feeding too much or too little. But a good rule is to give as much as baby wants.
Spit ups are normal. Babies tummies are small, and when they have both milk and gas, they spit up. My suggestion is (I learned this from a prental class) is to burp your baby every 2 ounces of milk. Interrupt her and burp her for a couple of minutes. If she is gassy, she will burp right away, sometimes she won't... and don't stress about it. Go on ahead and give her another 2 ounces and burp again.
This will help with the gas.

you are not over feeding her. she will stop when she is full. she may be having trouble with the formula try asking your doctor if you should switch her to another kind. for gas make sure you burp her after every feeding and sometimes during if she is having trouble. you can also try baby gas drops to help.

she will stop eating when she's full.......i promise.......and for the gas try Mylicon it's safe enough to use at every feeding......for her age give her 0.3ml........and for the constipation try 3 oz. of water and 1 oz. of apple juice don't just use straight juice because of all the acid in it.........and as for the spitting up get a white cloth (wash towel will be fine) and pour 3 tbs. of colored kool aid on it and you will see that's it's not all that much. and if that still doesn't convince you have your ped. do a test for acid reflux.........best of luck

well, your dr's right, feed her until she's not hungry anymore...but please make sure that you're burping her enough, and if she's still spitting up then maybe the formula is a little too harsh...alot of people are using that nestle good start now, maybe you could try that??
if she's still doing this, maybe she needs soy??
talk to her dr again.
