As someone British I would say that in the UK Bush is held in very low regard by most people. This is because (at least for me) he comes across as being pretty unintelligent and has little idea of the ways of the rest of the world (I gather he had hardly left the US before he became president). Bill Clinton left a much more positive impression of the US, at least for me.
I have travelled a lot to the US and of course "Americans" is such a generalisation. However, as you ask I find them very friendly compared to British people, generally very positive and willing to try new things, but also a bit naive and generally not well informed about the rest of the world (presumably due to American televison). I like the energy of Americans.

I am Canadian and I have frequent contacts with Americans. I can drive to the US in about an hour. In general, I find Americans to be friendly. Although Americans think of themselves as a monoculture, there are in reality many Americas in America and I like some parts better than others. I think that Jimmy Carter is a great representation of what America is and should be about. I love the US PTO and I admire the enterprising nature of Americans. I can't stand rap and I think that a lot of Americans could use more exercise. I like George Bush's social policies, but I think that George is in over his head on foreign policy. Bush's overall objective is sound, but the implementation could be better. Americans are a bit naive about the rest of the world and a bit too sure of themselves for their own good. George Bush represents this trend well.

I have found nothing wrong with anyone from America but as far as bush well there isn't a word bad enough to describe that piece of dirt.Someone needs to put him in the field since he is so in to war lets see what he would think if he had to fight.People from America probably didn't even vote 4 him it was fixed. I would bet on it.I personally think this war is because of a personal thing n it has to do with his father and even this Bush can't finish what his family started. He sucks and need to go.I feel sorry for the Americans to have to deal with this.Well have a great new years.

I really like their movies. The ones who stay in America seem pretty cool. I find that the ones who visit Australia are what you would call 'dumb asses' who should be stripped of their passports with few exceptions.
George W Bush.....how on earth did you manage to vote such a person into the White House?

From what I see on tv in films and programs it shows American people in one light, however when I have met you guys before you have alsways been very different. I like American people (those who I have met!). Goerge Bush, well theres not enough room for me to say exactly what I think of him, but to put it short, I think he is a cowboy. His rhetoric is terrible and I can't believe a man who speaks like this can run a country. His decisions I do not agree with, however no matter who is running a country they are never going to make every single person happy. I don't like his policy and I don't think he addresses global warming seriously and he needs to for the sake of this world. But in the world of politics it is not possible to make everyperson happy. Although I don't like his policies, I respect the pressure that he has to face every day. IT must be very hard, especially when he is critisised.

I list him as a waste of my vote in 2004. He has been the biggest disappointment of any president that I have voted for and that includes RM Nixon. The man is not a leader or a decisive decision maker. I am so sorry for the families of the 3000 dead and , the lord only knows, the number of maimed, crippled, or injured. I am so glad that he and his cronies are not able to run again.

You don't see Americans leaving this country to go somewhere else. This is the only country that has problems with illegals sneaking over borders or strapping an ironing board to their a** and swimming 1000 miles. When people start leaving this country in swarms because they are being treated so brutally, then I would say we have a problem with our government. Until then, every left-wing liberal holding their hand out so the government can give them a leg up so they can turn around and bad mouth the government officials elected to office by the majority of people who got off their asses to actually go to the booths and vote, well, they can kiss my a**.

I think he cheated the first time he was elected...it seems pretty fishy that the state that had all the problems in that election was the one that his brother is govener of.

I am non American. I am not sure who else will respond. For me, I do have my opinions but I don't think this is forum for such sensitive matters given our place in the American community
