most stores have big sales Dec. 26..

When the stores open the day after Christmas. However, where I live, the stores had many items on deep discount in the week before Christmas, and therefore not leaving much for the after holiday shoppers to buy.

I would guess tomorrow (Tuesday), and prices should keep on falling after that. I do not think that sales were that great this year, given the economy. Even though the government keeps telling us that we have a great economy, I am afraid I am not feeling it in my house.

usually boxing day now boxing day week.a lot of places have a white elephant sale right after the new year that's always by far a better deal

We have that in Canada - It's called Boxing day where everything is on sale for that day only!
