I'm talking about those annoying pop up show previews for other shows on other channels that distract you from watching the show that is currently on . You know , they creep across the bottom of the screen or pop up anywhere on the tv screen for that mattter. For instance, I was trying to watch " Rock Star " today on VH 1 , and that damn coffee cup stayed at the bottom of the screen through the entire show!!! Is this annoying or what?

I heard a few years ago about a man who sued a premium tv company for this (like HBO or something). Their logo was always on the bottom of the screen. He calculated exactly how much space the logo was taking up and then calculated how much he paid per month for that "unviewable space." Then he sued the company to get the money back for the viewing space that he couldn't view anything on.
I don't know if this is true or not, but I always think of it when I see those annoying banners and logos on the bottom of the screen.

Yes especially whenever the other show that is not usually likely to attract viewers from the show you are watching. For example, during ER they ALWAYS RUN 1 VS 100 AND HEROES

Yes! Those along with the annoying "credit crunches", where the end credits of a show, sound and all, are squeezed to the side so the network can promote their other crappy programs. Leave em alone!!!

YES!!!!!!!!!! That is why I buy TV shows on DVD cause those damn "reminders" are so damn annoying, as are the network logos. People at the networks are stupid IMO.

Specially the ones that are animates. I hate it.
