I'm with you. I have been on medical leave from my job for the last 3 years so don't have anymore holiday parties to go to. I lost contact with a lot of my so called friends. I lived alone and have no family. I get tired of people asking what my big plans for the holiday so the last couple of years I just let the voice mail pick up the calls which in not very many since everyone else have places to go and family to visit. So, I just stay home catch up with my laundry and take long bus rides some place that could void my time since everything else is closed. The only christmas spirit am having is dressing up my avatar the holiday outfit (big yawn). Well, hope your Christmas is better than mine. I wish you a Healthy and successful new year. Hope you have a great 2007.

This was my dad's first Christmas in the nursing home. I spent the day with him, but how about the rest of my family? My husband? My children? My mother-in-law? This is my sister's idea (my dad had been staying with us). We had a great time, incidentally. And I guess if my husband lives longer than the three years my almighty sister has allotted for my dad, and if my kids still care at that point, I suppose we can have a family Christmas then (my mother-in-law does not have the stamina, at 97, to hang out somewhere else all day; they were with her, I was with Dad). Sorry. It does sound rather petty. Thank you for letting me get it all out! According to the Christmas story God came down as a Babe in a manger to make sure we know He understands our woes. And the angels are on our side, singing...

It's Christmas night at my house...everyone has left, the kids are in bed, there are toys strewn about, and I noticed that the last showing of the 'A Christmas Story' was almost over and I got so sad...almost to tears. I am feeling very down in the dumps & I'm not sure why. I hope this empty sadness leaves me as quickly as it came on...

Dude! do no longer stress approximately it easily all people gets that. you go with for nutrition D, comedy and attempt a solarium. you're in basic terms lacking in solar! additionally, what do you mean you will get brushed off? Expelled? Or they only wont pay attention to you? Is a nursing college a boarding college?

I'm sorry you feel so sad! I got a call from my ex-husband this morning who wants me back despite his alcoholism and cheating on me (of course I said no), but it put a bit of a damper on the holiday for me! So, you're not alone!

Mine was crappy. My grandpa recently died, I have decided to get a divorce, I decided to lose one of my best friends because he was as a**hole and I am sick as a dog, alone. The brightest part of my day was when my soon-to-be exhusband brought me over food and tissues out of the goodness of his heart.
Yeah, I freakin' hate the holiday season.
