Does Coach Smith really believe in him, or does he have that little confidence in Greise at this point.

I think it is a little of both. Grossman has had some good games and it was not the defense that beat the Bucs. I think adding by having Grossman all year it has opened up the Bears offense and has not made them one dimensional.
When Grossman plays well the team scores and that helps the defense.
But when he plays bad they won in spite of him because of defense and special teams.

its a little of both...people tend to forget that Grossman is essentially a rookie even though he's been in the league a couple of years. He's added a vertical dimension to the bears' offense but he's also prone to forcing passes deep instead of checking down to his second or third option. Lovie believes in him which is the most important thing as Rex will get better as time moves along.

Grossman may not be your favorite, but he did get them on the path that they are on. If you are a Bears fan than support the whole team Grossman included

He was pretty bad but his last couple of games he has done better
