i can't get on the internet it says i need to turn on my wlan connection how do i do that please please please help me

it is beside the analog stick. it has an image of like a signal or something. it looks like the power switch but it is on the left side. with a triangle and 2 circles forming the arrow, just trun it to the image that looks like a signal, with the arcs and all.

Push the switch on the left side up.
