This (FINALLY!) Empty-Nesting Retiree has these Resolutions:
-- TO LEARN how to Relax .. because for so many, many years I was a long term single parent and had the FULL responsibility on my shoulders ...
-- TO De-Stress -- and I will do that my paying down my bills (much faster now that I am ALONE and don't have anyone else to be responsible for!)
-- To ENJOY hobbies once again ... I'm taking Digital Photography Course at the College right as the new year begins (so that I can learn even more ways to have FUN and keep active!)
-- To be able to once again know the complete JOY of being a SINGLE and not having to stick to a plan ... to be able to get in my car .. and drive where I want to, when I want to .. and just enjoy the scenery and things along the way.
-- To reconnect with those that I've been too busy to maintain contact with.
-- To get more sleep -- as a LongTerm single Parent ... I never got more than 3-4 hours a night (I had to do everything -- and I mean everything ...)
-- To continue with the Renovations to MY HOME ... because I'm no longer young, and I need to in order to age in place comfortably
-- To LEARN HOW to CARE for myself -- which means Rest, Healthy Life, treating myself to luxuries I could not (when I had the Full Responsibility for taking care of others).
