For the birds! Although, they may be true. Most of the time they are used as a manipulation tool for the "facts". That is, whatever did not happen because of the excuse. Everybody will use them including you.

Excuses diverts one reason to another.... Excuses can be White lies... Excuses can get us out of trouble... Excuses saves us from indictment. Excuses saves us from our relationships.... Excuses hides our true being...

concerning getting out of something:
be tactful and aware of peoples' feelings. if you're trying to get out of a friends party invitation, just tell the truth, but say it a nice way: i'm not feeling up to it, is it ok if i skip out this time? v.s. i don't want to come over
concerning things like missed appointments etc.:
unless they are legitimate (man, my mom died and i totally forgot) , just say you're sorry. people hate finding out you lied, and it doesn't feel good either, so make sure it's true.
in general, if the excuse is untrue, then stay away from it.

There are excuses and there reasons.Excuses tend to be at least a little untrue.Reasons are not.

they are nothing more than crap.
What you do is what you mean to do, and that is all there is to it. Be careful, because excuses don't hold any weight with most people. Especially me. I refuse to accept apology from anyone, nor will i apologize, because I meant it when I said it..lol

I hate excuses, but everyone has them, so I guess I would say I tolerate them, but only to a certain extent.

excuses are escape routes that u take when u think it will get u out of the situation to a better one, when its really really pullin u back and taking u worser situation and place.
excuses are for cowards.

excuses are for people who can't take responsibility for the bad choices.And I really dislike these people cause they never know how to own up to anything.
