Is it me , or have the 'artists' from these reality shows really, and i mean really, gone downhill. From the start of this years X-factor it was a choice of 2, 1 of em won the other left in the semi-final.

I think that the so called talent of these people is near enough non-existant!
Has the true talent gone or are the entrants simply attention seekers that have the delusion that they are singers?

What happened is that what began as a talent competition is now strictly a business. It would be fair to say that the producers/moneymen, don't care who wins, they hold up their end of the bargain, produce a record and promote the "artist" and then let em float. If they swim, great, if they sink they just move on to the next contest winner.

i like them the two yet i do no longer somewhat see how Pop Idol is something distinctive from the Popstars series or the BBC's recognition Academy, while the X ingredient has the three distinctive categories, plus a distinctive decide mentoring all and sundry. no longer basically do the contestants compete to win of their own precise however the judges are additionally competing with one yet another and there is the further undertaking of certainly one of those act that could win - team, sixteen-25 and 25 and overs. All this makes it an excellent deal greater exciting and that i think of beginning the competition as much as those distinctive varieties of acts makes visitors of each and all ages and determination sense somewhat greater in touch extremely than the instruct basically expressing an interest in youthful contestants (like Pop Idol has) which makes anybody over 25 sense somewhat previous and previous it till now their time. human beings think of those shows are a waste of time yet i think of that as quickly as you look at each and all the recent people who're signed up via checklist companies each and each 12 months, it somewhat is between the very few procedures that the technique comes into the limelight for visitors to persist with and in the tip, it somewhat is basically one individual who gets the deal so that is infrequently a pointless instruct. finally, Will youthful, Kelly Clarkson, Lemar, Shayne Ward, G4 and girls Aloud are all playing useful careers as a results of those shows so human beings are incorrect to assert that no person ever is going directly to larger and greater effective issues afterwards. I do like a number of of the shows yet i think of that the x ingredient is the terrific basically because of the fact it comes with all those little extras that make it greater exciting and exciting to observe than the different comparable programmes.

X factor anyday I think. Ok so Steve didn't make a very good impression to the first series of the show because his music career didn't go anyhere, why? Because he left it himself, to be sure his first audition he turned up very sleepy and came back, so it proves it. G4 were pretty good for the runners up and now have their 3rd album out and doing another tour.

Shayne Ward however in the 2nd series did very well, got a lot of fans, sailed through it and now has a new album and tour coming for 2007. :)

Hopefully our lovely Leona who won this year and have reached Christmas No.1 can do the same. I would like to see her make use of it unlike Steve and stars from Pop Idol and other programs.

May I see say though when group Girls Aloud were in one of those talent shows they have gained a very sucessful career from it, well done girls. ;)

Though it's about talent, it's also about money in Simon Cowell's eyes.

Not on these shows I can tell you, one had his chance from being on Brookside so he's used to being on TV etc and wasn't starting from scratch , what a fix, and his voice wasn't anything special, the other is a Mariah Carey wannabe, screeching at the top of her lungs, bloomin awful that ain't singing some people need an education as to what REAL singing is, if she was performing at my local pub i'd have to walk out, what suckers are buying this rubbish? I can't bear listening to her, hurts my ear drums, rather spend my hard earned cash on something more worthwhile than this trash and you'll only be adding to Simon Cowells greed anyway as he will get most of the profits, too many suckers out there, I never rated Mariah Carey that highly but Leona, if people actually listen to her rather than get distracted by her looks etc, will realise she hasn't got a very good voice, shouting and sceeching isn't singing, the best singers are able to sing properly at a resonable volume without yelling, thats why these days I stick to tunes that have hardly any singing on them att all as so many singers try to pass this din off as EXCELLENT vocal talent, at least Will Young could sing distinctively wthout getting a strain on, many of these singers can't even do higher notes without their veins bulging and looking in pain, its agony to watch, if they are straining too much it means they don't have "natural" singing talent they are struggling to get the notes out, its mainly kids they appeal to as they are being subjected to this music and don't know any better, they think that its actuall good singing as they haven't heard of some of the all time greatest singers around years previously, and many of the acts you see on these shows are like clones, nothing unique or distinctive about them, similar looks, dance moves, voices, same old cover versions inferior to the originals, can't think up a good original tune thats decent of their own, sometimes its hard to tell them apart but its the managers you've got to admire as they know they are on to a good thing and are making millions of pounds out of it as a result!

I kind of agree...but Girls Aloud have done excellent! From evidence from several different manufactured bands/singers, i would say that bands do better, and therefore i thought Eton Road should have won The X.Factor- they are good singers, 3 of them are good looking, and they would be more likely to last longer!
