You have to have a DVD-R Drive built in your pc.

Use DVDShrink. It's free and works great. It takes off the copy-protection and saves it onto your hard drive ready to play! If it's a new Sony or a new Disney dvd though, you will need 3 other programs to copy those dvds to your computer (RipIt4Me, DvdDecryptor & FixItVTS). Just download the Ripit4me program and under its tools section will be 2 links to the other mentioned programs. All are free.
