Serangoon Gardens..
For Hawker food, there's Chomp Chomp Hawker centre.. It only opens at nights but closes very late.
Lotsa good restaurants with cosy atmosphere like cafe cartel, Sticky Rice and few others which i forgot the name.
Good place to wind down and chill out with friends too cos there are also a few cafes and bars like Friends wine bar and liquid Kitchen. There is also a real cool ice cream parlour called ICE 3 ( Ice cube ).

Restaurant - Aerin's at Raffles City, Humble House at Esplanade
