Web Merchant Safe Mark?

I've had my e-commerce site for about 6 years, but it looks like I am going to be shut out on the web-safe mark that's being planned. What are you smaller merchants doing about it? Experience only please, no copy/paste and ABSOLUTELY no Wiki.

I wouldn't worry about getting an EV certificate. It will take years for Microsoft to implement it. We gave up on Explorer 7 because it performs so poorly and switched back to FireFox.
