My boyfriend rarely gives me compliments on my clothes. I'm a fashion maniac but he doesnt really seem to care about all the new trends. Like he doesnt even know what a skinny jean is!! I thought maybe he's just not into fashion so it didnt bother me.
He started telling me how he loves the girlish look and how he wants me to wear skirts more often becuase they look better on me. To my surprise, he actually got me a skirt for christmas!! I dont like when people shop clothes for me and yea it fits but it doesnt look right on me. I dont really like it and I dont wanna wear it but he insists it looks better than jeans on me! Yea I like skirts but I cant wear them all the time!!
Does that mean he hates all my other clothes? 'which btw are very trendy' - Should I wear what he likes when we go out even if I dont really like it!!?!

OMG girl, get a grip................He wants you to look like a stylish woman, and although I'm sure he loves your jeans, he wants to see you dressed in a skirt. Do it for him, and if you don't want to, just tell him it's NOT you. I like dressing up for my guy. It's fun. ~~~

No it doesn't mean he hates your clothes. he would rater see
you dressed like the lady he wants you to be.
Some guys like dresses/skirts because most all women wear jeans .
He like he other look on you.
Take that as a compliment because he cares how you look.
You don't have to dress for him all the time , but you should
sometimes.'
Tell him you will compromise and wear a dress but you want to wear your other clothes also,..

i'd dress the way i wanna but wear that skirt when u guys go out together! (Hint: find "cool" things to add to it, so it fits ur trendy style. i'm sure u can figure it out from there.) good luck!

Hes just being a guy. He does like your clothes. Knowing how guys are, i think he wants to see a little leg. So dont be offended by a guy acting like a guy.

you should wear the skirt - if you don't like your legs in skirts then wear them with tights (they will cover your legs, and as an added bonuse make them look sexy)
girls look better in skirts

My gosh your an ungrateful person!
Not all 'trendy clothes' look good on everyone.
If a guy likes a particular style and your not wearing it ,of course he is going to suggest or even get something that he likes!
Do you dress for yourself or for him?
If its for yourself stop dating him!

well if your reall ylike him then your should only wear the skirt when he is around you but if you really don't love him tell him that you can dress however you wanna cause it your body not his i mean find a better boyfriend

I think that you should just be true to your fashion style and wear what you want. OR wear what he bought for you but, add your own style to it. For example: wear it with leggings or jeans? I hope you stay true to your style and show him he just can't just say "WEAR THAT!"
