My son got PSP for Xmas and wants to download, I don't want a bunch of stuff on my computer that can cause viriuses I am not a fan of Limewire or illegal downloading, what is the easiest and cheapest way to get him what he wants without doing so illegally.

If you want music for free without using software like limewire what you can try is streamripper at http://www.download.com . What it does is converts freely/legally available music from online radio stations into mp3/music files. It is not perfect as some of the beginning and or ends of songs may be cut off. But it is free.

No he has the hot replace of the custom firmware. you've the traditional firmware. you may downgrade your psp to v1.5 so then from there you may positioned custom firmware on it.
