Depends on the games you Like. Or if you have a Nintendo Wii. The psp is better for you if you wanna watch movies and play music. And if you wanna spend more money. But they DS has a solid game base so I would suggest going with the Ds.

The original DS design is kind of lame, but the new DS Lite design looks rather sleek.
Even if the DS looks corny, it still has great games to play, like the Castlevania series, the new Super Mario Bros, Final Fantasy, etc.

nick akar's right it's fun especially the picto chat thing u can chat and draw picture back and forth with a friend in almost the same room i plan to chat & draw pictures back & forth with my bestfriend(she) when i get my coral pink ds lite this friday :)
