True but there is a difference. The timber company's are farming trees now. For every log you see going down the HWY today they replant 10 trees in its place. Its not the forest that we had before but the trees are there. The more they farm tree crops the less old growth Forrest that we need to cut down to meet the demand.

Yes it is true.
In the past most of the USA and other Parts of the world had a very dense grass growth ( in the US It was called prairie grass) This grass would grow to 4 to 5 ft tall blocking out the sun to any other vegetation.
Also humans help by growing and transplanting trees all over the world.

how can you even believe such nonsense
before there was no farming and cities which have deforrested vast areas of the planet.
in the days of the dinosaurs there also were not any desserts
all desserts are a result of mans actions indirectly or directlt and in the past these also were forrests ,like the sahara and lebanon(deforested by the Pheunicians fleet)
Spain was deforrested for wood for the Armada.
there are too many stories of forrests that used to be to even begin naming them
global warming is in part caused by deforrestation.
the USA exept for the prairies, was covered in forrests like Canada
farming and civilization killed most of them

I think it is true.
Land is no longer cleared for farming or fire wood.
Forests are now managed.
When you fly over established suburbs all you see is trees and roof tops.
