I am not attracted to most women of my race. Is there something wrong with me?

I don't know what it is, I have never really found female members of my race attractive, ever since I was little. Once in a while I will find someone that I really think is hot, but that is rare. Now when looking for a girlfriend or someone to date, I am not looking for a supermodel, but I need to have at least some physical attraction. A big problem is that most people of my race that are women could be classified as BBW, which I am not attracted to at all. Many other reasons like preceved bitchiness, ignorance, racist to other races, uneducated.

a majority of these women i meet online. i know i should look past a picture, but when i find out we are the same race, i lose interest

Don't feel bad, were all God's children, so whatever floats your boat. I'm personally not crazy about guys my race either, I didn't marry one either, so my son is mixed. I'm happy, whatever makes you happy dude. Your not obligated to marry your own race.

All women through out the universe are beautiful and/ or sexy in there own way. Its OK to be attractive to women of other races,However its not fair to judge the woman of your race because of past experiences.There's nothing wrong w/u cause your gonna feel like u wanna feel and that's OK 2. It was probably the poor choices u made by picking bad women . Or they were good woman gone bad and that that she made poor choice and had bad traits.When u choose a woman make sure she shares your interest and shares similar goals.etc.

for me,im a white woman and grew up in a white area and school.Because I was the only red head, I got teased a lot so I saw White guys as mean and cold hearted.So when I saw my first spanish guy,for some reason spanish men liked my hair,so after that I always went for the darker guys, even black guys like my hair,later in life,I realized a lot of white guys like my hair too. so what I say to you, look at the women from your past that are the same race as you and ask yourself, did these women hurt me in anyway?

I'm a Latino and Latin women don't appeal to me. It's not that they don't look good but I can't associate with most of their personalities. For those Latinas that are well to do, they'd rather associate with those outside of their race vs. their own. Which is exactly my conundrum....that since I never could find a Latina on my educational level (post college grad) that would associate with a fellow Latino, I date outside my race.

Nothing wrong with that. You want your equal and if you have to find it outside your race, congrats :)

Well date who you are attracted to. I don't believe in race and all that too. To me, everyone is sexy because everyone has something to offer to somebody. No I don't think you are racist either, you just have a taste for specific category of women, that will help narrowing your choices I guess..good luck!

Your just picky..a lot of young guys are picky and uptight.
Just learn to live with being alone. The Physical attraction,
wears off and you are left with personality. Just looking at someone and judging them for their race , it sounds like

That makes a lot of sense, man. I'm not as diehard as you, but I'm generally attracted to girls that are of a more interesting ethnicity. It might even go back to genetics- people want to have kids with people of different genetics, so as to have the strongest kids. And liking people from different parts of the world, for that reason, makes a lot of sense. Do what you like, like who you please; it's all good.

I don't think anything is wrong with that. You can't help but fall for who you want. Although it is kind of strange that you can be turned off by their race. But as long as you're happy with the person it doesn't matter.

What is your race?
Well alot of women think the same of the men in their races.I'm black and Irish and I only like white women and a few asians.I have never really been interested in darker women.I like blondes and lighter women and can't lie.There's nothing wrong,but I'll tell you about black/darker women they sure do have attitude problems and racial issues.I mean honestly black/dark women can never seem to get alone with white women.Just watch reality TV.

No, not at all. I'm black hispanic, and honestly, I've only rarely dated black or hispanic men ... most of the guys I've dated have been white, and a couple have been Asian.

Who can explain romantic attraction? People have been trying to explain it since the dawn of civilization, but no one's figured it out yet.

So, I say don't try to figure it out -- just enjoy it!
