We are a shallow society that only "looks up" to people of celebrity and/or wealth. Look how many people can tell you all about Britney Spears' love life, but can't name the mayor of their city. Look how many people can recite football, basketball, NASCAR, and baseball statistics, but don't know the words to the Lord's Prayer or the Star-Spangled Banner. Consider how many people know all about Tom Cruise's marriage, but don't value their own marriage (or relationship) enough to respect a mate's feelings. We are a society full of waste, tripe, and fraud. Donald Trump is just another glitzy nobody that we fawn over just because he's rich and famous. -RKO-

Same reason people like Bill Clinton, watch idiotic shows like Survivor, and so forth. They're brain dead. No other reason. If you haven't noticed while driving down the road, we're surrounded by knuckleheads. Our society encourages stupidity.

I don't. He's one of the ugliest men in public life and the only reason he didn't fire miss USA was because the first runner up was black.
