petsmart has a lot of good stuff for animals and if they don't have it in stock they can order it or you can order it online. Only put the turtle in the aquarium if it is a water turtle or a turtle that can both go in the water and on land otherwise put it in a terranium.

you can go here and check out the aquarium/terraniums at petsmart.

Well, I got my turtle tank (an excellent one) from Creature Comforts! Sorry but Petco and PetSmart had really crappy tanks that weren't worth anything!

I would imagine that PetSmart is your best bet. Make sure you ALWAYS wash your hands after handling turtles. In the 1960s, it was the fad to have pet turtles at home. The US experienced a huge outbreak of salmonella, which was directly linked to the turtles, and people not washing their hands after handling them. Best of luck.

you can use large rubbermaid tubs to save money. remember- aquatic turtles can reach sizes of 12-16 inches and some even more and there must be 10 gallons of water per inch of turtle. i would reccomend getting a large regular aquarium from a pet store or a rubbermaid tub from the hardware store.

I think turtles would be better kept in a terrarium. No?
