Your question is in the present tense. Based on your question, I have to say what the heck are you doing on the computer asking people on the internet what to do when you're in labor...when you're in labor! Get to the hospital and get an epidural.
But most likely you're not in labor RIGHT now, so quit worrying about it, it'll happen.

It's better not to hold your breath when the pain comes, deep breathing will actually make the pain easier to cope with. When the baby is ready to come out you will feel alot of pressure and you will feel the urge to push.

OH brother !!
how do you know you can't hold your breath because of the pain?
If you have already had a baby... than I guess you might know this for sure (altho I have never heard THAT one)
but then if you have already had a baby.. you would know the baby waits for no one and neither will your Dr.
Hm mm this sounds like a fishing question. Why don't you just ask the Q outright ?

breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth during the pains. when you are dialated 10 centimeters and are having a contraction they will tell you to take a DEEP breath and push (push as hard as you can and as long as you can) you will breathe in between contractions

Don't worry your body takes over! The hard part will be "not" pushing when the dr or nurse tells you not to!

Please believe me, when your body wants you to push, you will PUSH. It is an instinctive thing during birth, you will do very well!!
