They will still make movies without Stan. He created the characters, but he's mostly retired. These days, he's got very little to do with the production of Marvel Comics or the movies based on them. There's a whole company that runs without him - it takes several hundred people to make a film, and they're too profitable to stop making them, just because their original creator died. Look, they made a movie of "The Spirit" years after Will Eisner died, and they made "Watchmen" without any help from Alan Moore. All Stan does is make cameos in the Marvel films. Other people write, direct and produce them.
